Potassium Schoenite

Potassium Schoenite

Potassium Schoenite is a double salt fertilizer composed of Potassium Sulphate (K₂SO₄) and Magnesium Sulphate (MgSO₄) in an ideal ratio. It is a water-soluble, chloride-free, crystalline compound that supplies two essential secondary nutrients—Potassium (K) and Magnesium (Mg)—simultaneously. Sourced naturally from marine deposits or synthetically processed, this fertilizer is highly suitable for high-value and chloride-sensitive crops. It can also be used in combination with micronutrients to ensure a balanced nutrient profile and promote optimal plant growth and productivity.

Benefits
  1. Dual Nutrient Supply: Potassium Schoenite provides both Potassium and Magnesium, essential for photosynthesis, carbohydrate metabolism, and nutrient uptake efficiency.
  2. Improved Crop Quality: Potassium enhances fruit size, taste, sugar content, and shelf life, while Magnesium boosts chlorophyll production, resulting in greener, healthier crops.
  3. Chloride-Free Advantage: Being chloride-free, it is perfect for chloride-sensitive crops such as tobacco, potato, grapes, citrus, and tomato. This minimizes the risk of salt damage and enhances soil health.
  4. Enhances Flowering and Fruiting: Ideal for promoting flower initiation and fruit set, especially in fruiting vegetables and orchards. Also reduces flower and fruit drop.
  5. Stress Resistance: It strengthens plants’ resistance against drought, diseases, and stress conditions by regulating water use and enzymatic activity.
  6. Boosts Yield and Profitability: By ensuring balanced nutrition and improving crop health, it contributes to higher yields, superior quality, and better market prices.
  7. Rapid Nutrient Absorption: Being water-soluble, the nutrients are quickly absorbed by plants through fertigation or foliar spray, offering fast and visible results.
Application
  • Potassium Schoenite can be applied through fertigation systems, drip irrigation, or as foliar spray. It is also suitable for direct soil application when required.
  • Recommended Dosage (per application):
Fertigation: 5–10 kg/acre depending on crop and stage
Foliar spray: 5–10 g/litre of water
Soil application: 25–50 kg/acre based on crop nutrient requirement
  • Always consult your agricultural advisor or SAR Agro expert for crop-specific dosage and frequency.
Time
  • Apply Potassium Schoenite during vegetative growth, pre-flowering, fruit-setting, and fruit development stages.
  • Frequent applications during the reproductive and maturity phases are recommended for best results in fruits and vegetables.
Precaution
  • Avoid mixing Potassium Schoenite with products containing calcium or phosphates in the same tank.
  • Store Potassium Schoenite in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
  • Use Potassium Schoenite only recommended concentrations to prevent nutrient imbalances or leaf scorch.
  • Always use clean water for solution preparation.
  • Wear gloves and protective gear during handling and spraying.
Shelf Life 3 years from the date of manufacture if stored properly in sealed packaging under dry conditions.
Packaging
  • Available in 25 kg and 50 kg moisture-resistant laminated bags.
  • Custom packaging options are available for bulk orders upon request.
