Product Name –
Potassium Nitrate
Product Description –
Potassium Nitrate is a high-purity, water-soluble fertilizer containing two essential plant nutrients: Potassium (K) and Nitrogen (N) in nitrate form. It is widely used in agriculture and horticulture for improving crop quality, increasing yield, and enhancing plant tolerance to stress. It is especially beneficial during the fruiting and reproductive stages of plant growth.
Product Specification –
Chemical Formula: KNO₃
Appearance: White crystalline powder or granules
Solubility: Fully soluble in water
Nitrogen (N-NO₃⁻): 13% minimum
Potassium (K₂O): 45-46% minimum
pH of 1% solution: 6.5 – 8.5
Moisture Content: < 0.5%
Product Benefits –
- Provides readily available nitrogen and potassium for rapid nutrient uptake by plants.
Nitrate nitrogen promotes quick vegetative growth.
Potassium enhances water regulation and enzymatic functions. - Improves overall crop quality.
Enhances size, color, taste, and shelf life of fruits and vegetables.
Strengthens plant cell walls for better post-harvest handling. - Enhances resistance to abiotic stresses.
Improves drought, frost, and salinity tolerance.
Minimizes lodging and disease susceptibility. - Supports flowering and fruiting stages.
Encourages better flowering and fruit set.
Boosts yield potential during reproductive stages. - Highly compatible with other fertilizers and agrochemicals.
Mixes easily in fertigation and foliar spray solutions.
Does not contain chloride, which can harm sensitive crops.
Increases nutrient use efficiency.
Promotes better absorption and mobility of other nutrients.
Reduces leaching losses due to balanced nutrient delivery.
Application/ Usage –
Fertigation: Apply through drip irrigation or sprinkler systems.
Foliar Spray: Dissolve in water (typically 1–2% concentration) and spray uniformly on leaves.
Soil Application: Can be applied directly to soil or used in blends.
Application time/duration –
Ideal for use during mid to late vegetative phase and especially during flowering and fruit development stages.
Can be applied throughout the growing season, depending on crop needs.
Typically used 2–4 times per crop cycle for optimal results.
Precaution –
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
Avoid mixing with acidic substances or incompatible agrochemicals.
Always wear protective gloves and eyewear during handling.
Keep away from open flames—oxidizing in nature.
Use only as directed; overapplication may lead to nutrient imbalance.
Ensure complete dissolution in water before application via fertigation or spraying.
Shelf Life –
2 years from the date of manufacture when stored properly in original packaging.
Packaging –
Available in 1 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg, 25 kg HDPE or laminated bags.
Bulk packaging options available upon request.
